Mac and Jack are 7

Mac and Jack finally had a birthday party together and got to do the thing they both love most – play sports!  Lacy and I wanted to keep the party very low key.  We let the boys each invite a few friends over to “play sports” in the backyard.  There were no organized activities or decorations, minimal food, lots of water and Gatorade and even more fun!

The kids quickly organized a kickball game and the dads quickly discovered a ref was needed – the boys sure are competitive!  After several innings of kickball some of the boys moved on to basketball and before we knew it the boys surprise was pulling up – the Kona Ice truck!  Snow cones for everyone!  Coe and Frances came home in time for a snow cone and joined in on singing their brother’s HBD.  Finley, Aunt Forrest and Yaya even stopped by to say HBD at the end of the party, but Mac was having too much fun (and was way too sweaty) to pay them much attention.  This was by far the easiest birthday party, and Mac said his favorite ever.  We may do a repeat when he turns 8!

  1. The party you planned was perfect in every aspect. Specially, I just loved the invite and I am thankful that you shared it here as it really helped me with planning party for my son at great event space NYC.
