Day 3 in Park City

Day 3 was a day off from skiing.  Coe needed a break from ski school and we were all excited to check out the Park City village and go tubing.  We had fun walking around the village and the boys were eager to find the perfect souvenir.  Coe found his items at the first store we stopped in and quickly settled on some colorful rocks, a stuffed fox he named Scarlett and two glass hearts that he planned to give Frances and Larsyn.  {He originally wanted to buy a heart for all his girlfriends (6 total) but we told him he didn’t have that much money!}.

Tubing was a blast and we ended up racing down the hill several times.  I liked when we attached to each other, but {surprisingly} Coe preferred the individual races.  He said we went much faster as singles.  My cuddle bug who is never far from my side is also my daredevil when it comes to speed!  As much as we enjoyed our day off, everyone went to bed talking about what they would get to do at ski school the next day!

Day 2 in Park City

Getting out the door with two kids, 4 pairs of skis, 2 set of poles, gloves, helmets jackets, phones, snacks, camera, etc wasn’t much easier on day 2, but we made it to ski school with time to spare for the dreaded mommy photo requests.  Albi and I hit the gondola up and headed over to the Canyons to ski while the boys continued to excel in ski school.

When we picked them up at the end of the day, they wanted to keep skiing so after checking with their teachers we took them on the beginners lift and ski run.  It was sooooo fun to watch them ski and see the excitement on their faces as they showed off for us.  Mac had gone on the “big” chairlift with his class that day and kept telling us over and over that he wanted to go back on Payday.  He meant the lift.  Albi thought he meant the ski run.  So after a few times up and down the beginners run, Coe and I went to the condo and Albi and Mac went to do Payday.  When they got to the top of the run and Mac looked down with a mix of fear and excitement, it dawned on Albi that Mac had been talking about the chairlift Payday and not the intermediate blue run called Payday!  Unfortunately there was no other way down from where they stood.    A slow and steady pace and several falls later, they made it down safely.  Once at the bottom Mac told daddy that he was probably going to have a negative consequence when mommy found out because mommy would not be happy about daddy taking him down a blue on his 2nd day of skiing!  Yes, Mac you were very right.  Thankfully I knew none of this until Mac was safely back in the condo and begging to go to the hot tub!

Albi said he couldn’t take pictures of Mac going down Payday b/c his whole focus was getting Mac safely to the bottom so I didn’t kill him {Albi}!

They loved the hot tub almost as much as skiing!
