Spiderman Party

Best. Party. Ever.  At least in Coe’s opinion {and maybe in mine as well!}.  We had a bounce house, cupcakes and SPIDERMAN.  What else could a 4yr old boy want?  Coe enjoyed every minute of it and has already asked if I could get a Power Ranger to come to his next birthday! 

Although it took a few minutes for most of the kids to warm up to Spiderman {there were a few tears and kids attaching to mommies’ legs when he first jumped out to the Spiderman theme song}, by the end he was the hit of the party.  He played games with the kids, posed for pictures and led the Happy Birthday song. 

Mac tried to act like he was too big for a picture with Spiderman, but when I forced him to join his brother, he immediately got to the ground in the superhero pose!  Shortly thereafter Mac disappeared.  I found him about 15 minutes later trying on every Power Ranger costume we had.  He was desperately trying to find one to fit him, so he could come out as the “special surprise guest” and put on a show for the kids.  When the party was ending and only a few guests remained, Mac made his grand entrance as Jayden, the Red Ranger.  I think he was disappointed that Coe and Finley weren’t quite as excited about him as they were about Spiderman, but they acquiesced and let Mac lead them in a game of a Duck Duck Power Ranger :)

Despite Mac having his final basketball game and post game breakfast at McDonalds, mommy had everything set up and ready for the birthday party by 11am.  A very excited almost 4 yr old anxiously awaited the arrival of his Superhero friends!

 

 

He’s {almost} 4!

After the mini 3rd birthday we had for Coe last year, everyone must have been feeling like we needed to do it up big this year because Coe’s birthday celebration started 10 days early!  Yaya insisted that Coe open his presents from her the Sunday (March 1st) before his party, so he could enjoy them.  Then a few days later Mac couldn’t wait another minute and had to give Coe the presents he picked out for him, so we had another present opening session.  Then G and Deeda got in town Friday (the 6th) before the party, so it was round 3 of opening presents that night!  Coe thoroughly enjoyed  each and every present opening session which all led up to the ultimate birthday party day! 

*In Yaya’s defense some of Coe’s presents were for his room, and I wanted the artwork hung before the party.  She therefore insisted that he open his “fun” presents so he and Mac could play while she and I did a little rearranging of Coe’s room  I love the way his big boy room has come together over the past year, but I still can’t believe I have no more baby stuff in the house.  My baby is 4!!!
