Happy Belated Father’s Day

We had a blast celebrating a belated Father’s day with Papou and Gigi at the Moore’s pool last weekend.  Everyone swam and then we eat a yummy lunch that Forrest and I made and brought with us.  No need to write much for this post.  The pictures show what a great time everyone had!   IMG_9407 IMG_9413  IMG_9417IMG_9429 IMG_9420  IMG_9432 IMG_9431   IMG_9443 IMG_9444  IMG_9439  IMG_9448

If you want to understand why Finley was initially terrified and snuggling as close in to me as possible while in the pool, see the pictures below.  All she could hear was “higher higher” and “do it again!”  Although the day was supposed to be about Papou, I think Mac and Coe are the ones who enjoyed themselves the most!

Ready. Set. Play.

Last Friday the boys came to cheer me on at the annual attorneys vs staff softball game.  The whole time I was playing catcher, they stood behind me yelling, “Mommy keep your eye on the ball.  Good job Mommy!”   Then when I would get up to bat, Coe would sob because he couldn’t come out there and hit with me.  Finally the game ended (with a 9-11 loss for the attys) and the boys got to hit the field for batting practice.  To say Coe loved it would be an understatement. Mac thoroughly enjoyed it too,  but Copeland had a look of pure joy on his face that spoke volumes.  I’m thinking my prayers of not having to be a “baseball mom” may go unanswered!

The next morning Mac wanted to paint and feed the birds before we headed to Papou’s and Gigi’s to swim.  Copey followed right along.  It was a great start to our weekend!     IMG_9396 IMG_9401IMG_9398  IMG_9402 PTMIMG_9389 PTMIMG_9376 PTMIMG_9382 PTMIMG_9384 PTMIMG_9385 PTMIMG_9386
