The last beach day was more of the same with a lot more cover-ups for several people in the group. We went down to the beach around sunset and took family pictures before heading back to the house to eat some delicious barbeque from Buck’s Smokehouse - a joint in Destin that was recently named in Garden and Gun as one of the top barbeque places in the country. It lived up to the honor!
This group of friends and all their kids are like family to us. Hence our constant referral to our Beach House family. Each family has it own unique qualities – I still can’t believe we are about to be the only one in the group with two kids. #threeisthenewtwo (but not for us!!) When we come together we are one big extended family. The kids fight but wouldn’t dare let an outsider mess with someone in the family. And every parent watches whatever child is in their sight regardless of a direct blood relation. We love being together but by the end of the trip, like most big families, everyone is ready to get back to their house, their own routine, and their own 2-3 kids!
