It feel like months ago that we went on the annual Gillips Hart beach trip, and in reality it was 3 weeks ago. I’m that far behind on the blog because life has been CRAZY busy!
The beach trip was another huge success, and despite the house not being perfect {what house is?}, we all had a place to sleep and put our stuff. We were a very short walk to the beach and the pool at the house was big enough for the kids to all be in at one time. The weather was sunny enough the first two days to sufficiently burn at least one member of every family with some families having a large burn rate amongst them – thankfully for the Gilmers only Mac had a little pink on his nose and neck and around his eyes – that was more than enough drama for us! The waves were big on most days which was fun for the kids and a little nerve racking for every parents except the Gills {nothing stresses them out!}.
Ansley as the oldest “kid” got to bring a friend so we had 8 adults and 11.5 kids. I say 0.5 b/c I was convinced baby Phillips was going to make an appearance at any moment. {I can say that 3 weeks post beach trip, baby Phillips, is still snuggling in his/her mommy’s belly but not for much longer!} Pictures from our first 24 hours on the beach trip are below and the smiles on all the faces should tell it all!
