When my trial surprisingly settled a few weeks ago, I quickly resisted the urge to immediately take that week off and instead marked my work calendar off for the next week when the boys had Spring Break! It turned out perfectly and our impromptu staycation was everything I wanted and needed!
I worked on Monday of Spring Break, so we started our fun first thing on Tuesday morning. Aunt Forrest is off on Tuesdays so we invited her, Finley and Yaya to come over for “Easter activities”. We dyed eggs, decorated cookies, and did an Easter egg art project.
In the midst of it all Mac let Finley play with Picky and then unbeknownst to any of us they forgot about it him and Picky roamed free for 24 hours. That is a separate story, but let’s just say I’m glad I didn’t know he was on the loose until 23.5 hours into his big adventure. All in all day 1 of our Spring Break was a big success!
