Make new friends and keep the old

One of my sorority sisters is from Ft. Walton Beach but now lives in San Diego with her husband and two little girls.  I have only met her oldest daughter once and have never met the baby, but all that changed on Friday.  After several texts, schedule juggling, and last minute muffin baking by Miss Katie and Coe, we got together with the kids for breakfast at our house.  Mac went to school a little late so he could play with the girls for a few minutes, and I took the morning off to enjoy time with Susan, Annabelle, Emily Mae and Susan’s mommy, Martha.

At first only Mac and Emily Mae would sit still for a picture.    IMG_7089

But finally we grabbed all four kids for a quick picture.  IMG_7092

Mac really wanted to be the big helper with the smaller children and definitely took a quick liking to Miss Annabelle.IMG_7097

but I think Copeland may be a little more Miss A’s size!  IMG_7100

Bye Bye sweet friends.  We sure hope to see a lot more of you come fall.  Our fingers are crossed for a possible relocation to the Pensacola Navy base!
