Our Halloween activities began with trick or treating at Mac’s school. He was so excited that G was in town and able to come see him and the rest of the fish class. I made sure to get a picture of Mac with his best “girl” friend – Riley.
Halloween night did not go exactly as planned. Looking back though I don’t know why I thought we were going to have a clam evening with plenty of perfectly posed picture opportunities of the boys in their costumes. Yaya took them to a Halloween party in the late afternoon, and they were not exactly on their best behavior. I’m sure the candy from Mac’s school party and the excitement of wearing their costumes had nothing to do with it!
All the grandparents came to our house for trick or treating. While waiting on Yaya and the boys to get back form the party, we took pictures with Finley. I forgot how easy it is to take pictures of an immobile child. Finley was the perfect flower and didn’t mind posing for the camera at all.
When the boys got home they were not into sitting still for the camera. Copeland was still refusing to wear the dog head that went with his costume and had managed to smear his black eye spot all over his face. I tried to snap a few pictures, but finally gave up. We loaded the boys in the wagon and Finley in her stroller, and we headed out to get candy. Overall it was a good night and the boys had a great time trick or treating. I hate that I didn’t get pictures of each grandparent with the kids but what can I say…last night was a lot more chaotic than organized!
