Our first morning began with a quick easy ride on the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. One huge advantage of staying at the Polynesian was definitely the ease of getting to the Magic Kingdom where we spent the bulk of our time. We met Pluto right when we walked in and despite clinging to her mommy, Finley was pretty fascinated with the very large dog standing in front of us. Maybe not fascinated enough to give him a hug but no tears which was a huge improvement on her meeting with Santa a few months earlier!
We were already behind schedule according to my daily itinerary, but we did head to the back of the park to ride several rides before beginning our fast passes for the day. At one point Albi, Mac, Coe and I split from the group to make our first Fast Pass – Big Thunder Mountain. This was the test to see if the boys were truly ready to ride a roller coaster. I don’t know who I was more concerned about – Mac or Coe – but both did amazing and loved the ride. When we got off I said “that was great”. Coe quickly replied “no it was incredible!”
We played on Tom Sawyer Island while Finley met some princesses and then Coe and I joined the rest of the family to ride Winnie the Pooh while Albi and Mac headed to Space Mountain (Coe was too short for that one). We all eventually headed home for afternoon naps and rest time before heading back out for the Nighttime parade. Despite protests that they didn’t need naps, Mac and Coe were both sound asleep 5min after getting in bed, and I had to wake them up a few hours later to make sure we had time to eat dinner before going back to the park!
