Dollars

Conversation between Mac and I on Tuesday after LP and AI closed for Hurricane Isaac (school had already been cancelled)

Me: Mac guess what mommy and daddy both get to stay home with you and Copey all day

Mac: Why?

Me: Because we don't have to go to work today.

Mac (look of total panic on his face and crying starting)

Me: Mac what is wrong?

Mac: If you don't go to work then we won't get any dollars and then you can't buy me any new toys.

Me (completely dumfounded): Don't worry Mr. Levin and Dr. Andrews are still going to give mommy and daddy dollars today.

Mac: Yeah!  Now I'm glad you are staying home with me.

Glad to know that getting dollars and new toys is more important than quality time with mommy and daddy!
