We got to Birmingham on the 23rd of December. The boys were amazed at the number of presents already under G’s tree. They spent a lot of time looking for presents with their names on them and seeing if one had more gifts than the other (they didn’t). After a very wet and dreary Christmas Eve day, half of us got ready to head to church while the other half went to Aunt Heather’s family party. Before we all left, we got a few pics of the Gilmer grands.
Mac was very concerned that we were not going to get home in time for him to fall asleep before Santa arrived. We checked the Santa tracker on my phone and it said Santa was in South America around 7pm, so I assured Mac that although he needed to go straight to bed when we got home from church, he had plenty of time to fall asleep before Santa got to Alabama!
The next morning the boys woke up early, but not crazy early. It was right around 7 which honestly is late for them most mornings. I was able to sneak downstairs and take a few pictures of Santa’s goodies before the tornado and his younger brother showed up. Santa must have thought the Gilmer boys were very good this year! He also seems to think mommy is going to go camping with everyone –the sleeping bags were for me and Daddy. At first I thought Santa was a little mixed up on where he was leaving gifts, but when Mac and Coe showed up they were sure he had made no mistakes!
