Sweet Seasons

A few weekends ago we headed to Sweet Seasons farm with the Barrs and the Faulkners.  The boys had a great time running through the corn maze, hiding behind the sunflowers and playing on all the fun toys.  Coe shot out of the tube slide like a cannon and they both jumped their hearts out on the “corn popper”.  Although the morning started with a slight chill in the air, it was downright hot mid-way through the corn maze.  The boys were thrilled when daddy came back with 2 blue snow cones!  The drive to Sweet Seasons was almost an hour, but it was worth it.  We will definitely be back next year!

Brown Family {Annual?} Reunion

For the second year in a row Aunt Deb has come to Tuscaloosa/Pensacola for a visit in late October.  Both years her trip fell during the Alabama/Tennessee game and both years mom had a football party at her house so we could all watch the game together.  This year all the brothers and sisters plus Nana and Granddaddy were all together for the weekend.  We joined in for a little of the fun as well!

Prior to all the siblings getting in town, I had Nana, Granddaddy, and Aunt Deb over for dinner along with the rest of the normal Pensacola family!  The kids put on their Halloween costumes and showed off for anyone who would look at them :)

The next night all the adults went to Grand Marlin for dinner and then Saturday we spent the day cheering on the Tide to another victory!  In between practicing their football skills in the yard Mac and Coe loved listening to Uncle Steve and Uncle Scott play the piano and guitar.  The boys pulled out their instruments and joined right in.  Although it doesn’t sound like they inherited too many musical genes, they definitely got the “know how to have fun” genes.  The boys had smiles on their faces all weekend long.  And I’m pretty sure the rest of the Brown family did too!
