Why Oh Why?

Why oh why did I agree to do photos with the kids right after we moved, before the house was ready and on a freezing cold morning when my kids really didn’t want to be outside smiling???  I had this vision of us all standing in front of our new house happy and smiling for our Christmas card.  That did NOT happen despite the photographer even coming back on a 2nd day! 

Below are a few of the pictures that were ok.  Some of the pictures are better than others, but overall it just wasn’t my favorite photo session.  I have used this photogarpher a million times in the past and always loved her work, but we were all a little off our game on this particular week.  Oh well.  It was my fault for waiting until the end of November to do it knowing we would all be rushed.  It also doesn’t help that I take pictures of the kids all. the. time. so unless its a spectacular shot I question why I’m paying for someone else to do what I can do {almost} as well. 

We did get a great shot of my family of 4 which is something I cannot do on my own.  After I did a few edits to the photo it was Christmas card worthy, so in the end I accomplished my mission even though it wasn’t exaclty what I had originally envisioned!  

Below is mom’s Christmas card and then my Christmas card photo.  Both pictures are super cute, but I may or may not have swapped some heads around to get two pictures where everyone is smiling and looking at the camera! 

The boys agreed to let me take a few pictures of them after the first photo session went so poorly {due to bad attitudes on our side of the camera!}.  I think they felt sorry for me and could tell I was extremely a little frustrated with their lack of cooperation earlier that morning!
