The boys are quickly falling in love with daddy’s favorite hobby. Mac is more into it than Coe, but it won’t be long before Coe is begging to play 9 with his dad and brother. Occasionally I get to tag along, but Mac is quick to point out that I’m only there to take pictures because I am not good at golf! Looks like I’ll have lots of quiet time at the house in the years to come :)

Fiesta 2015
I’m still playing catch up {story of my life}, so I’ll keep this post short. From mid May through mid June Pensacola celebrates its history with a celebration called Fiesta of Five Flags. There are parades, parties, community events and admittedly a lot of people dressed up in weird costumes. It’s our version of Mardi Gras and there is really no way to make sense of it if you don’t live here – many people who live here still don’t get what the fuss is all about! Truthfully it’s a time for me to see a bunch of friends, do some volunteer work and have fun. What is there is to “get”?
For the 2nd year in a row I volunteered on the costume committee with 8 other ladies. We helped the fiesta court look their best for all their events and on the last night we went with them and 100s of other people to the Coronation Ball. It was fun to get dressed up and dance with Albi some and my girlfriends more {Albi was content letting me make a fool of myself on the dance floor while he watched from the sidelines!}. Here’s to another year celebrating Pensacola’s history :)

HBD Mac
For Mac’s real 7th birthday we opened a few presents {he had already gotten his big gift from us and his grandparents which was his basketball goal!}, did a sports photo shoot {my request}, and made blue cupcakes with Miss Katie {his request}. We also went to the Wahoos game a few nights later and stayed for the fireworks which were a big hit. Plus he got a snow cone which is clearly a current obsession. Can’t believe my first baby is 7!
Coach Pitch Champions
The LP Flyers were the coach pitch champions of the Bill Bond League. It came down to the last inning of the final game. The game was tied at the bottom of the 6th, and our players bats lit up. With two people on base, our catcher got up to bat and had a great hit to advance a runner home winning the game for the Flyers! Mac was ecstatic and it was the perfect end to his first baseball season.
Below are some pictures from the season that I have not previously included.
