Mother’s Day
As I get our stuff packed and ready for our 5th annual Beach House Family trip, I realized I never posted our Mother’s day weekend pictures! It was another great Mother’s Day and this year G and Deeda were in town to celebrate with us. At G’s request we all spent Saturday together at the beach! It was a beautiful day, but probably not quite as relaxing as G was picturing. Mac and Coe had her in the water jumping waves the entire day. Coe rarely let go of her hand meaning his full 42lbs were pulling on her arm the majority of the time they were in the water!
After everyone was sufficiently worn out, we headed home for a steak dinner cooked by daddy and Deeda. G and I took the boys to church the next morning while the guys slipped away for a little golf. Then we all met at the Country Club for a yummy Mother’s Day brunch. I am beyond thankful for the boys that have made me a mommy and for all the wonderful mothers and grandmothers I have in my life!
I love the questionnaire Coe filled out about me at school!

A Day Game
A few weekends ago we made a last minute decision to take the boys to Tuscaloosa and visit their great-grandparents and go to the A Day game. I say it was a last minute decision because it had stormed all week in Pensacola and Tuscaloosa and the weekend forecast was no better. I had no desire to sit in the stadium and get poured on, but we had already mentioned the trip to the boys and there was no turning back!
I’m so glad we went. Although the ground was saturated and the skies often cloudy, it never rained during the day! The boys stuffed themselves with Nana’s lemon bars and even got Nana and Granddaddy to throw the baseball with them friday night. Saturday morning G and Deeda arrived to go to the game with us, and after stopping to buy new Alabama hats the boys got to meet former AL player Donte Hightower. Mac was so cute and called him Mr. Hightower just like daddy told him! Thanks to some friends we got last minute seats in one of the sky boxes. Even though it never rained it sure made it nice to not have about the threat of rain. The windows were all rolled back making the front of the sky box completely open to the stadium. I loved still getting to hear the crowd and the band while sitting in the shade, in a comfortable seat with our own private bathroom. I told the boys not to get used to it, but enjoy it for the day! We cheered Alabama on to a victory :) and went home as happy fans. My boys are all counting the days until football season kicks off!
