Last weekend the boys woke up early and were ready to play. I encouraged them to play in Mac’s room so daddy could sleep in. I grabbed my camera and started clicking away! They really wanted to jump on the bed which I never let them do, but I told them they could for just a minute while I snapped a few pictures. It’s amazing how well they can get along when no one is around and they are both well rested :)

the Mighty Minions
Mac is once again playing soccer, but this time at the City instead of the YMCA. It is a little more organized and slightly more serious in the City league, but I have quickly learned when your team is all 6yr olds who have never played real soccer, organization and seriousness take a backseat to learning sportsmanship and fundamentals. Our team is definitely in a “building year” which is a nice way of saying so far we have gotten our butts kicked at every game. On a side note I don’t think it is fair that some of the U8 teams are stacked with 2nd graders who play Select travel soccer while our team is nothing but 1st graders who have never really played, but hey life isn’t fair! The pictures make Mac look like a superstar and truthfully he is really enjoying it. He listens to what Coach Dax tells him at practice, and he really got after the ball in the first game. A few more clinics and a good match up with another 1st grade team and we will be good to go!

ALS ice bucket challenge
Albi was challenged by a few different people, and Coe was challenged by one of his good friends Sally Hart. Mac was DYING to be challenged, so after a lengthy discussion and some slight steering in other directions, Coe challenged Mac and Deeda. Mac challenged Uncle Ed, Uncle Shaw and his friend Daxton.
*Vicki and Yaya, you owe me a big thank you for ensuring you were not challenged as you were at the top of both boys list!
